While many people are looking for jobs, there are also many employers looking for potential employees to fill the gaps in their companies. If you are one of them, you need to start writing your proposal and attract those potential employees that you hope can give your company a better future. Here are some required sections you need to include.
1. About Us. Before going to the main topic of the proposal, introduce your company first to let the potential employees get a picture in their mind about what you are doing. Just make it simple and easy to understand. You just need to bring your company’s identity in the employee’s mind to make them think you have something better and more unique compared to the other competitors.
2. Role at the Company. This is where you tell the employees the required role your company needs. Remember that this is not where you list all the job duties they need to do, but this is more about telling your employees what role they would play to help the company reach its goals. State how important this role in your company and highlight it in your proposal.
3. Compensation Package. List all the benefits the employees will get by working in your company in this section. It includes the salary; the commission if this is a sales position that can make them earn more money when they reach certain sales amount; the bonuses, if you provide bonuses for certain performances in a certain period; vacation time, if you offer them a free vacation every year; and other things that your company might offer related with the compensation should be listed here.
4. Employment Contract. This is can be the longest part of your proposal since this consists of many sections to cover. This includes all things included in the contract for the position, which means this is an agreement of what you have to give to the employees and what they will get from you. You need to include the Term, stating the date this agreement will be started and that both employer and employees agree upon this; Duties that states about the employees are responsible in doing some duties and that those duties will be broken down in more explanation in Exhibit A; Compensation, you need to state that the detail information of the compensation is attached to Exhibit B; Confidentiality, which explains that the employees shouldn’t disclose anything inside the company such as the marketing plans, customers, strategies or many others to any third party unless they are asked to do that; Return of Property, which explains that the employees should return any property given by the company during ten days before resignation; Expenses that covers the inability of the employees to make reimbursement for any expenses they made related with the position unless there are authorized purchases the company request for them to write them down. However, this part should be customized with the rules in your company and the roles of the employees because some roles require regular reimbursement.
5. No Modification Unless in Writing. This section emphasizes that any modification is not allowed and both parties shouldn’t do that under any reason or any circumstances.
6. Applicable Law. Strengthen this agreement by governing your terms under the legal laws will make your proposal more powerful.
7. Exhibit. In the previous sections, you have stated that more explanation would be provided in Exhibit A for the list of duties and Exhibit B for the compensation information, so this is the time to do that. Exhibit A should be listed with the duties of the employees while Exhibit B consist of information about how the compensation would be given, in every what period and the maximum days or date the compensation should be given to the employees. You can add two more sections above the exhibit, No Other Compensation section that emphasizes the mentioned compensation is all the employees would get and one more section, which is the Taxes to let the employees know that the compensation would be withheld by the company for the required taxes.
